Madera County, under the direction of the Regional Water Quality Control Board has begun removal of over two thousand cubic yards of contaminated soil from former underground storage tank locations on the North Fork Mill Site Reuse Project of the North Fork Community Development Council, Inc.

Three sites on the former mill will be excavated and backfilled with clean soil from elsewhere on the site.
