Board Meeting Minutes – July 26, 2010
5:40pm – There was no quorum. Participants only reviewed discussion items.
6. Follow Up Presentation: Trail on Mill Site (insurance, tractor use, hours of use, etc.)—Harry Stott
- Have to research insurance
- Jill will ask insurance company if we are covered for:
- Volunteers working on site for trail or other work
- Community members riding on the trail
- Hours of operation
- Dusk to dawn? Different hours throughout the year?
- Equipment/tools
- Does the CDC have tools?
- Is the tractor available for use
- Property line
- Barbed wire fence in one place
- Needs volunteers
- Map / GPS

7. Grant Administrator’s Report
- BRLF – CDC letter is at the county. No response yet.
- Grant opportunities
- EPA targeted Brownfields site assessment – investigates possible contamination
- EPA Brownfields assessment grant – provides funds for planning the cleanup
- Other grants – Jill is investigating applicability
- Jill’s remaining time at CDC

1. Request for use of property for Hazmat Training
- Jere presented – Hazmat training at mill site
- Community Medical – will be running a multi-agency training

- Classroom training in board room sept. 16 7-9 pm
- Field training by the pump October 16, 8am-1pm
- Press conference
- Dan gave an update
- Discussed August 20 versus late September
- Perseid meteor shower August 12
- Could be good viewing from the mill site
